Stanton Sperry, 61, of Bridgman, Michigan died Thursday night, February 13, 2014 at Lakeland Regional Medical Center in St. Joseph, Michigan.
Stan was born in St. Joseph, Michigan on August 19, 1952, to Steve and Virginia (Brant) Sperry. He graduated from River Valley High School in 1971. Stan belonged to a motorcycle club and loved to ride his chopper. On March 19, 1980 he married Donna Skorupa in Bridgman, Michigan. He was a carpenter and handyman, doing business as Sperry Construction in Bridgman and he was a member of the Sons of the American Legion , Weechik Post # 518 of New Troy.
Stan was a Packers fan, hunter, and avid fisherman, going out on Lake Michigan from Bridgman, fishing on Singer Lake, and taking fly-in fishing trips to Canada. Not only fishing but as the photos prove, catching lots of fish.Survivors include his wife Donna of Bridgman; brother and sister-in-law, Chuck and Rebecca Sperry of LaPorte, Indiana and nephew Chad Sperry of New Troy. He was preceded in death by his parents and by his cousin, Donna (Brant) Werner.
