Stanley Lawrence Wise, 93, of Union Bridge, MD passed away on Wednesday, July 25, 2018 at Frederick Memorial Hospital in Frederick, MD. Born December 13, 1924 in Baltimore, he was the son of the late Antoni and Bertha Wawzyniak.
Stanley was a graduate of Morgan State University. He was a proud veteran of the United States Navy, serving during World War II aboard the USS Anne Arundel. He was employed as a Cost Accountant for Continental Can Company in Baltimore for 28 years. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Taneytown, where he served as a deacon for many years, the Knights of Columbus, and the Knights of St. George.
Surviving are his three children, Michael Wise and wife Margie of Jarrettsville, Margaret Stryzak and husband Victor of Fallston, and Catherine Reeder and husband Ken of Owings Mills; 5 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by 3 sisters, Mary Wells, Dorothy Brown and Wanda Moore; and a brother, Bernard Wawzyniak.
