Stanley Duane “Dewey” Whetstone, 76, of Menlo, Iowa, passed away Friday, March 30, 2007, at the Mercy Hospice in Johnston, Iowa.
He was born October 12, 1930, in Casey, Iowa, the son of Stanley and Bess (Madsen) Whetstone.
Dewey attended and graduated from the Casey High School in 1947.
On September 14, 1952, Dewey married Patricia Curry of Dexter, Iowa and served in the U.S. Army from 1952 to 1954 in the Korean War.
He lived in the Casey area all his life and was a lifelong farmer and raised Angus Cattle. As well as farming, Dewey was an over the road truck driver for 11 years.
