Stanley J. “Stan” Wolff, 88, of New Britain, the loving husband for 59 years to the late Clara (Sebastianelli) Wolff, passed away at his home on Wednesday, June 12, 2013. Born in Mansfield, son of the late John and Julia (Kascek) Wolff, he raised his family in Farmington and has lived in New Britain for the past 10 years. After high school, Stan joined the U.S. Navy serving his country honorably on a PT boat in the South Pacific during World War II. He was a self-motivated businessman who worked hard and achieved success in all his endeavors. Stan took up golf in his 50’s and the sport became an important part of his social life in his later years along with his daily participation at the New Britain YMCA. He was a member of Holy Cross Church, the New Britain Elks, the VFW and the Spartans. Stan was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather and he will be dearly missed by his family. He leaves his daughter Kathryn Belfi of Bristol; his son John Wolff and his wife Beth of Farmington; his five grandchildren, Elizabeth Wolff, Kelly Lyman and her husband Dustin, Daniel Belfi and Adam and Eric Wolff; three great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. He was pre-deceased by his son Thomas Wolff; his brothers Thomas and Edward and his sister Frances. Stan’s family would like to extend its heartfelt gratitude to the Hospital of Central CT, Dialysis unit, VNA Hospice, his patient care technician Jan Brodowicz and his special friend Dolores Ziembko who remained by his side during the last year.
