Stanley S. Welsh, 91, of Matawan passed away peacefully at home Saturday, December 4, 2021 surrounded by family and friends.
Born in South Amboy, NJ, he spent the majority of his life in Matawan. Stanley was in the U. S. Army stationed at Ft. Monmouth, where he met his future wife Theresa. Stanley was also a past member of the Knights of Columbus St. Joseph’s Council and the American Legion. He was a Printer for the Asbury Park Press, Home News Tribune and the Red Bank Register.
Stanley is predeceased by his wife Theresa to whom he was married 68 years. He is survived by a dear son David Welsh and his wife Janet of Lansdale, Pennsylvania; a granddaughter Sarah Donohue and her husband Joshua and a dear great-grandson Wyatt Donohue. He is also survived by sister-in-laws Elizabeth “Betty” Grzelak of Matawan NJ and Catherine “Kay” Boynton of Springfield VA.
