Stanley R. Lawry, age 86, of West Haven, died Tuesday, February 19, 2008, in the West Haven Veterans Hospital. He was the beloved husband of the late Marie O’Connor Lawry. Mr. Lawry was the son of the late Alexander and Edith Strehl Lawry; he was born May 22, 1921 in Memphis, TN. He worked as a Pressman for the Wilson H. Lee Company of Orange for many years, was an avid gardner and later enjoyed working in the security department at the Yale Art Gallery. He is survived by his loving children; Stanley J. and his wife Carol Ann Lawry of Sun City, AZ, Barbara M. and her husband Joseph E. Conte Sr. of Beacon Falls, CT., a brother Richard Lawry of Bristol, a sister Elizabeth Vacca of Milford, two grandsons Joseph E. Conte Jr. and Michael R. Conte both of Beacon Falls. He was predeceased by a sister Mary Prout.
