Stanley R. Douglas, 81, husband of Shirley (Wunsch) Douglas of Bristol, passed away on Tuesday January 29th at Bristol Hospital.
Mr. Douglas was born on August 27, 1926 in Howland, ME, a son of the late Ira and Hazel (Damm) Douglas.
Stanley was a US Navy veteran and a retired foreman for Iseli Screw of Terryville. He was an avid UCONN basketball fan and also a great fan of WWE wrestling.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his son and daughter-in-law Richard and Judi Douglas of Chester, CT; his three daughters, Mary Ann Douglas of Portland, CT, Joan D’Antonio of Cromwell and Carolyn Douglas of Meriden; his five grandchildren; one great-grandson; his stepsons, and their spouses, Jim and Shirley Klimanoski and Chester and Darlene Klimanoski; his step-daughter and her spouse, Marie and Paul Hawes and their four children. He also leaves behind his good friends Arloa and Roger Schultz of Stratton, VT.
He was predeceased by his brother Carlton Douglas and his aunt Alfreda Sullivan.
