Stanley Nicholas Laque, Sr. passed away on Tuesday, June 14, 2016 at the age of 93 after a brief illness. Devoted and beloved husband of Thelma Lillian Flattann Laque for 63 years. Loving father of and preceded in death by his son and best friend, Stanley Nicholas Laque, Jr. Brother of the late; Doris Laque Weiser, Franklin Vernon Laque, Jr., Harold Frederick Laque, Norma Laque Sciortino, Gloria Laque Pons, Raymond Hugh Laque, and Joyce Laque Canton. Also preceded in death by sister-in-laws: Marian Flattmann Monteverde, Shirley Molligan Laque, Miriam Blanchard Laque, and cousin, Theresa Mire Kropp.
A lifelong resident of New Orleans, Mr. Laque was preceded in death by his parents Franklin Vernon Laque, Sr. and Mary Bornman Laque. A graduate of Warren Easton High School, Stanley proudly served as a crew chief in World War II in the U.S. Army Air Corps with the rank of Staff Sargent in Europe and North Africa.
Survived by a sister, Loretta Laque Plaisance (Norris) and a host of nieces and nephews.
