Stanley L. Head, 87, of Pendleton passed away Friday, December 25, 2015 at Kindred Transitional Care and Rehabilitation in Greenfield.

He was born on August 8, 1928 in Tilton, Arkansas and was a U.S. Navy veteran of the Korean War. Stan drove a truck for Ecoff Trucking and Liquid Transport Co. for 18 years, retiring in 1986. He was a lifetime member of the VFW Post 6904, and a member of the American Legion Post 391, F&AM Lodge No. 207, and Scottish Rite Valley of Indianapolis.

He is survived by his wife Bonnie (Holmes) Head whom he married July 14, 1952 in Arkansas; children: Alan (Denise) Head of Fortville, Randy (Becky) Head of Des Moines, WA, Phillip (Lori) Head of Pendleton, and Lisa (Brian) Hayden of Pendleton; grandchildren: Heath (Julie) Head, Alison (Lonny) Burton, Rhonda (Jon) Thomson, Ben Trueblood, Riley Head, Justin (Ivonne) Trueblood, Mitchell Summers, Brandon and Caitlin Hayden; great-grandchildren: Kaitlyn, Victoria, Keelie , and Shea Burton, Celia and John Head, and Aaliyah Trueblood; great-great-grandson Jayden Burton; numerous nieces and nephews; and faithful friends Jim and Molly Patrick and Bill Reynolds.

Stan was preceded in death by his father Clarence Head; mother Ora Letha (Shue) Jenkins; step-father Luther Jenkins; sister Mildred Todaro; and brothers Jim and Herb Head.
