Stanley was born January 29, 1941 in New Buffalo, Michigan to Stanley W. and Edna (Kissman) Kanger Sr.
He was raised in New Buffalo and married Glenda McLemore on July 21, 1962 in New Buffalo. Stanley was a self employed brick layer by trade. He liked watching Notre Dame Football and spending time outdoors. Stanley was interested in politics, the price of gas, and other current events.
Survivors include his wife, Glenda of Three Oaks; children, Michael (Gina) Kanger of Three Oaks and Jodi (Jason) Shelley of Los Angeles, California; grandchildren, Christopher Kanger, Dylan Shelley, Cole Grabe, Alexis Grabe and Katherine Burgess; sister, Susie (Jerry) Sunday of Buchanan, Michigan and brothers, Thomas (Suzi) Kanger of Bridgman, Michigan and Jack (Toni) Kanger of Las Vegas, Nevada. He was preceded in death by his parents and by his sister, Loretta Henchik.
