Stanley K. Daugherty, 61, of Jacksonville, IL died October 27, 2014 at his residence.
He was born April 29, 1953 in Jacksonville, the son of Lee Roy and Martha Lou Watson Daugherty.
He is survived by a brother, James Daugherty (wife, Connie) of Bolingbrook; two sisters, Pamela Daugherty of Jacksonville and Shelia Pickens (husband, Michael) of Jacksonville; six nieces and nephews, Michele Pitts, Angel Pitts, Dion Crites, Sean Daugherty, Kevin Daugherty, and Shannon Daugherty Jerome; several great and great great nieces and nephews; his companion, Cindy Feltes of Jacksonville; and a host of aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Marsha Daugherty.
Stanley was a 1972 graduate of Jacksonville High School and attained his CDL at Lincoln Land Community College. He served with the US Army from 1975 to 1976 in Germany. He was employed at Mobil Chemical for several years and later was a bus driver for the West Central Mass Transit District and the Senior Citizen Bus program. Most recently, he drove for Railroad Express in Beardstown.
Stanley was a life member of the Jacksonville Amvets Post #100 and enjoyed participating in dart and pool leagues with his friends.
