Stanley “Bernie” F. Bednarczyk, 92, of New Britain, passed away on Monday, May 11, 2015 at Msgr. Bojnowski Manor. He was the beloved husband of the late Loretta (Gosselin) Bednarczyk for 60 years. Born in New Britain, son of the late Konstanty and Wladyslawa (Sliwecki) Bednarczyk, he was a lifelong resident and member of St. Jerome Church. Stanley served his country honorably in the U.S. Army during World War II. He retired from St. Jerome Church after 20 years of employment. There he served as a Eucharistic Minister there for 25 years and was a member of the Men’s Club. He was also a member of the Knights of Columbus, Daly Council #12, 3rd and 4th Degree and a former member of its Color Guard, as well as the New Britain Senior Center, Fafnir Seniors, New Britain Catholic War Veterans and New Britain Elks Lodge #957. He leaves several nieces and nephews including, Jack Hatzel, Leslie O’Connor, Annie Meyers, David Hetzel, Kathleen Tuskowski, Diane “Bunny” Salbinski, Stanley Borawski, Patricia Marchindcyk, Robert Mylnick, Mark Hoffman, Michael Hoffman and Diane Dunn.
