Stanley Eugene Blair, 59, Huntington, passed away at 10:15 a.m. on Saturday, December 3, 2011 at his home. Mr. Blair was born October 13, 1952 in Fort Wayne, Indiana to Marcus and Evelyn J. (Smith) Blair. His father preceded him in death. He married Kim McBride.
She survives in Huntington. He graduated from Purdue University and U.S.A.F. Navigation School. Mr. Blair retired from ITT in 2010 with 28 years service and retired from United States Air Force and Indiana Air Guard as a Major in 1996 with 21 years service from the 122nd Fighter Wing Fort Wayne, IN. While at ITT, he was a scheduler for NASA weather satellites. In the Air Guard, he flew F4 Phantom II jets as a Weapons Systems Officer.
He served in Thailand and Korea during the Vietnam Conflict. Mr. Blair moved to Huntington in 1994, coming from Fort Wayne. He was a member of the Apostolic Grace Fellowship Church, the V.F.W. and Retired Officers Association. He is survived by his Wife Kim Blair, Huntington, IN, and his Mother Evelyn J. Blair, Fort Wayne, IN. Four sons: Brandon J. (Teannllely) Blair, Salt Lake City, UT, Shane M. (Michele) Blair, Huntington, Chad R. (Chanda) Blair, Fort Wayne, IN, David (Cheri) Moore, Cambridge City, IN, two daughters, Shannon R. (Jasun) Blocher, Silver Lake, IN, Sondra S. Moore, Huntington, IN, one Brother Brad (Becky) Blair, New Haven, IN. and eleven grandchildren.
