He was preceded in death by his son, Andre Chambers; brother, Ramsey Wade; Grandparents, Robert Cater, Clara Cater, Joe Green and Lilly Green.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his mother, Betty Cater of Hempstead, NY; father, James “Jack” Otis Cater of Decatur, AL; two sisters, Stacy Purvis (Warren) of Decatur, AL and Darcelle Langham (Kendrick) of Courtland, AL; two brothers, Jonathan Wade and Darrell Gunter both of Long Island, NY; one grandson, Andre Chambers Jr. of Long Island, NY, three nieces, two nephew and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
