Stan was born on March 4, 1926 at home, 1214 Pasewalk in Norfolk to his parents Samuel and Zora Jane (Isenhauer) Blank. He was baptized at the First United United Methodist Church in Norfolk on April 4, 1926 and confirmed on April 17, 1938. Stan attended school in Norfolk.

On July 2, 1949, he married the love of his life, Hazel M. Jones in Columbus, Nebraska. They had one daughter, Deb born on May 22, 1959.

Stan had many jobs throughout the years including as a truck driver, the shipping and receiving clerk at Northeast Community College and as a bus driver for Arrow Stage Lines. He drove many charters, tours, casino runs, and daily runs to IBP in Madison. Stan took great pride in driving bus for Arrow Stage Lines making many friends along his travels.

After “retirement”, he just couldn’t give up so he drove the Handibus part time for the Norfolk Senior Center until he was well into his 80’s.

He is survived by his wife Hazel of 67 years, daughter Deb (Tim) Kabes of Stanton, grandsons Chris (Anne Marie) Kabes of Fremont and Cody (Alyssa) Kabes of Valley, great grandchildren Maya, Molly, Maria and John of Fremont and Rylee of Valley, as well as great grandchildren he claimed as his own Bretlynn, Logan, and Krae, and many nieces and nephews.

Stan was preceded in death by his parents, father-in-law and mother-in-law Glenn and Sadie (Perfect) Jones, brother-in-laws and sister-in-laws Mel and Berneice Jones, Marv and Alberta Jones, Leonard and Marcella Jones, Frank and Ann Brown, Willis Jones and Alfred Jones.

Special thanks to the Hospice Team, especially Dr. Hirschman, Becky, Dorothy, Peggy, Father Jerry, Carol, Inez and numerous other hospice nurses for all your wonderful care throughout this past year.
