Stanley Arthur Blair, Sr. passed away peacefully on Friday, January 13, 2012 at the age of 70.
Born on June 28, 1941 in Williamstown, MA to Lloyd and Louisa Blair, Stan was preceded in death by both his parents.
He grew up in the Northeast and graduated with a BA in Chemistry from Williams College. He married his high school sweetheart, Janet Lawrence Blair, on August 17, 1963. Stan received his MBA from Union College in Schenectady, NY.
The couple lived in Pittsfield, MA, Hickory, NC and Mocksville, NC as they raised their three children, Beth, Jennifer and Stan Jr. Stan worked in Manufacturing Management for General Electric Co. and started several small businesses over the years. Stan and Janet retired to Lake Norman in Statesville where he enjoyed woodworking, remodeling their lake house, and captaining their pontoon boat.
