Stanley Allen Wright, 89, of Linwood passed away on Tuesday, December 20, 2022 at Hinkle Hospice House in Lexington.
Born in Thomasville, NC on January 13, 1933, he was the son of the late Pauline Stanley Wright and Clyde Wright.
Mr. Wright was a graduate of Thomasville High School and a veteran of the US Army. He worked as a paint contractor and was a member of Churchland Baptist Church. He enjoyed traveling, dancing, water skiing, snow skiing, flying private aircraft, and horse riding.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Thomas Allen Wright and brother, Richard “Dick” Wright.
Left to cherish his memory are his sons, Richard Wright (Rhonda) and James Craig Wright (Sara); daughters, Anne Miller (Bucky), Dana Jessup (Jeremy), and Keri Wedde (James); brother, Robert Wright; sister, Gennie Poe; nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
