Stanley A. Kapinos passed away on October 24, 2016 at the age of 96 at his home in Brightview, Serverna Park. He was born on September 5, 1920 in Baltimore, Maryland to Polish Immigrants, Anna and Frank Kapinos. He is predeceased by his wife of 50 years, Mollie Ann (nee Greenberg) Kapinos; son, Mark E. Kapinos; brothers Joseph, Andy, John and Milton and sisters Mary and Helen.
Surviving are six of his seven children and their spouses: Stanley and Eloise Kapinos, Annette (nee Kapinos) and Robert Lange, Deborah (nee Kapinos) and Emmit Barringer, Steven and Deborah Kapinos, Lisa (nee Diehl) Kapinos, Timothy and Joan Kapinos and Paul and Bonnie Kapinos. He has 15 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.
Stan served in the US Navy during WWII. He then worked for Esskay where he learned his trade as a Meat Cutter. Soon after, he went into business for himself as owner of a neighborhood grocery store for about 30 years. His final working years took place at Giant Foods before his retirement. Stan always had a passion for golf and hit the greens most days of the week for well over 50 years of his life. He also enjoyed watching the Orioles play ball. But, the thing closest to his heart was his family in whom he took his greatest pride.
