Stanislawa “Stasia” Rzap, 82, of New Britain passed away on Saturday, March 31, 2012 at Hartford Hospital after a long illness with Alzheimer’s disease. She was the beloved wife of Adam Rzap. Stanislawa was born in Russia, daughter of the late Wladyslaw and Karolina (Minakovska) Rozbicki; she was a New Britain resident for many years and a member of Holy Cross Church. She was employed by Emhart Corp. for many years prior to her retirement. Stanislawa always placed the needs of others before her own. She loved nature and all of God’s creatures, Harkness Beach, shopping, sewing, music, gardening and knitting. Her family extends their sincere gratitude to her caregiver Monica Krainska who provided devotion and love for many years and a special thank you for Dr. Alicia Harbut. Also, a special thank you to the Szkop, Chudy and Lacki families for their support and care and the Hospice Center, 5th Floor at Hartford Hospital for their outstanding care. She is survived by her husband Adam Rzap; her daughters Barbara Nowak and her husband Marian Dudanowicz of New Britain, Kazimiera Narvaez and her husband Jorge of Bristow, VA; her son Tadeusz Rzap of New Britain; her grandchildren Veronica Tkaczuk and her husband Peter, Diana Pearson, Leeann Dudanowicz and Jessica Dudanowicz; two great-grandchildren Peter Tkaczuk and Cameron Pearson. She also leaves her niece Sophia Derosier, her husband Jerry and family; her nephews Richard Rozbicki and his wife Lonia and Henry Colbert, his wife Elizabeth and family; her brother-in-law Tadeusz Rzap and several nieces and nephews in Poland and Russia. Stanislawa was predeceased by her brothers Tadeusz, Mieczyslaw and Bronislaw Rozbicki.
