Stan Budzinski, 64, of Peoria, Illinois entered peacefully into eternal life on Saturday, October 7, 2017 at the OSF Richard L. Owens Hospice House surrounded by his loving family.
Stan was born July 25, 1953 to Leonard and Bernice (Bill) Budzinski in Peoria. He married Karen Levine on July 10, 1976. Stan is survived by his wife Karen, son Paul (Carrie) Budzinski, daughter Colleen (Michael Quartuch) Budzinski, grandsons Zachary, Owen, Ryan, and Ryker, brother Ron (Cheryl) Budzinski, mother-in-law Ann (Watson) Levine, and a host of in-laws, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Stan was proceeded in death by his parents, niece Tricia Budzinski, father-in-law Earl Levine, and beloved dog Maggie.
Stan was a graduate of Spalding Institute (1971) and Western University (1974). He worked at Caterpillar for 35 years in human resources and retired in 2009. He proudly served the Peoria Park District as a trustee from 1995-2007. He was a member of Cursillo #91 and, more recently, a member of the Secular Franciscans. Stan was also a Eucharistic Minister for both OSF Saint Francis and Unity Health Point was a diehard Saint Louis Cardinal fan and proud to be named after “Stan the Man” Musial. Stan loved life and especially enjoyed playing a good round of golf, laughing with family and friends, and going to the ocean for vacation. Stan was a man of great faith and devoted Catholic.
