Staff Sergeant Edward J. Cravey, age 86, of Dacula, GA passed away on February 23, 2021.
He was preceded in death by his sons, Jeff Johnson and Joey Johnson.
He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Betty Johnson Cravey, Dacula, GA; children, Jim (Joy) Cravey, Lawrenceville, GA, Susan Jones, Lawrenceville, GA, Karla (Perrin) Lamar, Atlanta, GA, Belinda (Randy) Peacock, Bethlehem, GA, Chris (Jennifer) Johnson, Grayson, GA; daughter-in-law, Tina Johnson, Winder, GA; seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren.
Mr. Cravey was born March 7, 1934, in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
He was a 1953 graduate of Reno, Nevada High School. Mr. Cravey was retired from the U.S. Army after 22 years and the U.S. Air force. Mr. Cravey was a member of Ebenezer Baptist Church, Dacula, GA. He was an Extra Ham Radio operator and was a member of Lanier Land Amateur Radio Club. He also was a member of Cherokee Gun Club in Gainesville, GA, and a volunteer for the Disaster Relief Team.
