Staci Lanier Morrison September 3, 1974 – May 9, 2017, Staci Lanier Morrison of Auburn, AL passed away on Tuesday, May 9, 2017, at her home. She was born in Cleveland, MS on September 3, 1974. Above all else, Staci was a devoted mother to her sons. Their care and well-being were her priority. She pursued their education, extra-curricular activities and dedication to their Lord and church with a passion not to be denied. Absolutely nothing was to stand in the way of the bond she shared with her sons.
Her memory will forever be a presence in their lives. She graduated from the Heritage School in Newnan, GA and Hollins College in Roanoke, VA, receiving a BS in Psychology. She served as a camp counselor for several years during summers and was employed as a fundraiser for various organizations throughout her career. She participated in a marathon in Dublin, Ireland in 1997 to raise funds for the Leukemia Society of America. She was an active member of the Church of the Highlands and was devoted to its ministry as well as to the Adullam House in Wetumpka, AL, which is a safe haven for children of incarcerated parents.
She is preceded in death by her father, Philip Barry Couch. Survivors include her husband, Christopher Morrison, sons: Campbell Brown Lanier, V, John Parkland Lanier, and Philip Gaines Lanier (Pete), all of Auburn; step-children, Maximilian Joseph Morrison and Marie Rose Morrison of Nevada City, CA; grandmother, Mrs. Frances King Mann of Newnan, GA; parents, Dr. and Mrs. Bob Mann, Jr. (Linda) of Newnan, GA; brothers: Spencer Parkland Couch of Jackson, MS, and Baker Mann of Jackson, WY; and a sister, Shrader Mann Burns (Hunter) of Charlotte, NC, as well as numerous other friends and relatives.
