With profound sorrow and much love, we celebrate the life of Stacey Rae Sims, our beloved daughter, niece, cousin, and friend who transitioned on August 30, at the age of 47 years.
Stacey was born on April 23, 1973, in Cleveland, Ohio as the only child to her loving parents William and Joanne Sims. She and her family relocated to Georgia, making a loving home in College Park. An exceptional scholar, she completed school and engaged in many significant activities, ultimately launching a small business as a young entrepreneur.
A loving daughter and a remarkable cook, Stacey enjoyed preparing gourmet meals, baked goods, and other culinary creations for her family and friends, especially during holidays and special occasions. Her vast talents and innovative ideas brought joy to everyone she touched.
Her family and friends were her passion and delight. Children naturally gravitated to Stacey, and she was a loving and attentive “Auntie” to them all. Always extravagantly celebrating any occasion that illuminated each of them individually and collectively. An adventurous traveler, exceptional event planner, loyal friend, and confident to her closest family and “sister friends.”
Her exceptional work ethic produced a successful career with Lucent Technologies Accounts Payable Department (Alpharetta). Later as an entrepreneur, launching a successful boutique on Old National Highway.
Stacy was profoundly spiritual with a personal connection to her Creator and Higher Power. Her spirituality was evident in the love and care that she unselfishly bestowed to everyone in her presence. She has made an indelible imprint on this world. Her loving spirit and infectious laughter will live eternally in the hearts of all that were privileged to know her. To know Stacey is to know unconditional love. An encounter with Stacey is the true essence of joy. A memorial to Stacey is to live life to the fullest.
