SSgt Casey Cook McMillan

SSgt. Casey Cook McMillan, 38, passed away October 10, 2016 at Hill Air Force Base, Utah.

He was born in Fountain Valley, California on May 2, 1978, though he was raised in Uintah and Washington Terrace, Utah. Casey was the 3rd of 5 children born to his parents Scott Irvin McMillan and Susan Bailey McMillan.

Casey graduated from Bonneville High School in 1996. He then touched the lives of many whilst serving an LDS Mission in Washington DC South for 2 years. Upon his return he joined the Special Forces in the USAF. In 2003 Casey pursued a maintenance career in the Air Force as a Metal Technician Welder/Fabricator. He had a talent for anything artistic, he was precise and could repair or assemble anything.

In 2003 Casey PCS’d to RAF Mildenhall in Suffolk, England, he met his wife Amanda Ann McMillan at the G Club on Mildenhall AB playing pool. Casey introduced himself and shook her hand. They fell in love and were married on February 25, 2006 in Bury St. Edmunds, England. Together they had two of the very best children, Madisyn Jaya McMillan, 10 “Doodle” and Kieran Vayl McMillan, 6 -“Bud” .

Casey was the most fearless, strikingly handsome funny and soft person. He would say what everyone else was thinking. He never followed the crowd. He had a confidence that was contagious, and he was adored by everyone. Words cannot express how much we will miss Casey every day. We will love him and think of him always.

Casey is survived by his wife, Amanda and two children, Madisyn and Kieran, his mother-in-law Darlene, his brothers-in-law, Joseph and Patrick McCullagh, Casey’s parents, Scott and (stepmother, Sherri McMillan), his mother Susan Bailey McMillan and four siblings, Cole, Shaley, Jayk and SharRee, one/half sister, McKenna and step siblings, Natalie, Jake, Ike, and Abby.
