SISTER MARTHA WORDEMAN, OLVM, age 89 , a resident of Victory Noll, died September 4, 2013, at Holy Family Health Care Center at Victory Noll, Huntington.
Sister Martha was born in Bellevue, Kentucky on May 24, 1924 to Albert Wordeman and Aurelia Stolle Wordeman. Two sisters, Rita Rechtin and Joan Ramler, precede her in death. She is survived by her Victory Noll sisters with whom she shared community and ministry for 69 years.
Sister Martha entered the Congregation of Our Lady of Victory Missionary Sisters on October 27, 1944 and made first vows on August 5, 1947. She served in the missions in Colorado, Indiana, Missouri, Michigan, Texas, Massachusetts, Tennessee, West Virginia, and Kentucky. Sister retired at Victory Noll in 2003 and continued her spiritual and inspirational writing.
