Due to a heroin overdose, the light of a funny, kind hearted, and adventurous spirit was taken from our lives by a senseless and relentless drug. We fought as hard as we knew how to help Spencer. Our constant hope of his recovery was matched only by Spencer’s desire and urge to overcome the demons that chased him.
As a young boy, nights at home were spent watching Spencer dance in his bathrobe or finding some adventure in the back yard. Spencer loved any animal or creature he could find and was always building some sort of crazy contraption. Spencer excelled in sports. Having four older brothers leading the way, he used his “survival” skills to dominate on the mat and finished 2nd in the state as a senior in high school. Spencer attended Bonneville High School and went on to graduate from Lincoln High in 2013.
Spencer loved the outdoors, hiking, fishing, shed hunting, and big game hunting. It didn’t matter what it was, he just loved the beauty God created and wanted to experience all that he could. The best quality Spencer possessed was his generous heart. He was so kind and didn’t have a single enemy. Spencer adored his nieces and nephews.
The stars aligned and Spencer found the love of his life, Meashia, four years ago. Together they made many memories full of laughter. On February 10, 2020, Meashia and Spencer brought their special little girl, Maddolyn Marie, into the world. Spencer was so proud to be a dad and was completely smitten. No one could make Maddolyn laugh like her Daddy and she would light up every time she would see him.
Spencer is survived by his parents, Gerald and Ida Marie Moreau of Idaho Falls, ID; love of his life, Meashia Johnson, Idaho Falls, ID; daughter Maddolyn Marie Moreau, Idaho Falls, ID; brothers Dan Moreau, Choctaw, OK, Nick (Robyn) Moreau, Idaho Falls, ID, Brad (Erin) Moreau, Idaho Falls, ID, Steve (Krista) Moreau, Idaho Falls, ID; and sister AnnMarie Moreau (Zeek) Sievers, Idaho Falls, ID.
Our lives will forever be changed by Spencer’s love. We know he’s free from the burdens he battled in this world and he is scouting his next journey.
