After 92 years of life Sophie passed away peacefull in Littleton on May 6, 2011.
Born in Bayonne, NJ, and a long time resident of Manville where her son Tom and his wife Linda still reside, Sophie came to Colorado in 1978. She enjoyed her new home very much. Her son George and his wife Karen also live in Colorado. She spent time on a ranch in New Mexico with her son Joseph and a pet emu, Big Bird.
Sophie lived in Littleton with her daughter Paula and son-in-law Stan Szabelak for the last 14 years until moving to Cherrelyn Health Care Center. She spent her final two months there making new friends.
Preceded in death by her husband Joseph, she enjoyed the companionship of a loving family of four children, three grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Her sweet kindness will be missed by all who knew her.
