Sophia Heiss (Nee: Von Stetton) died on September 20, 2014. She is survived by her daughter in law, six grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.
She was 103 years old and the wife of the late Richard B. Heiss. Mrs. Heiss was Past Matron of the Beverly Maqueda Chapter 276 of the Order of Eastern Star, member of the Friendly Institution of Burlington, Garden Club, Burlington City Historical Society and a Charter Member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church of Burlington.
