Sophia Arabolos Chipouras, 89, formerly of 200 Oak St., West Haven, passed away Nov. 24, 2007 at the home of her son in Winter Garden, Fla. She was the widow of George Chipouras. Born in New Britain on Sept. 25, 1918, she was the daughter of the late Peter & Irene Meliris Arabolos. She was a graduate of Hillhouse High School and attended Collegiate Preparatory School in New Haven. She worked at A.C. Gilbert Co. during and after WW II. After her marriage in 1947, she moved to Washington, D.C. and resided there until her husband’s unexpected passing in 1960. A long time resident of West Haven, she was a substitute teacher at St. Lawrence School and later, worked as a dental assistant for her brother, Dr. Michael Arabolos. She was a member of St.
