WINSTED – Sonia (Martinez) Trinidad, 71, passed away peacefully Monday, July 9, 2018 at her home surrounded by her beautiful family. She was born December 15, 1946 in Dominican Republic; the daughter of the late German and Angelica (Rijo) Martinez. Sonia was a loving person who always put family first and enjoyed spending time together with them. She loved to cook, go shopping and always look her very best. She always looked perfect with her hair, makeup, nails and outfits even in her last few months when she was not feeling well. She is survived by her devoted daughter, Indira Puig, for whom she shared a home with in Winsted; cherished granddaughter, Iandra Cabral of Winsted; six brothers, three sisters; close niece Vilma Gonzalez and husband Wascar and many, many beloved nieces, nephews and extended family here and in the Dominican. She was predeceased by two brothers and three sisters.
