The beautiful ray of sunshine, Sonia Kaye Davis, 49, of Westminster, went Home to be with her Lord on Monday, December 6, 2021, at her home in the arms of her loving husband. Upon her arrival into Heaven, she was welcomed by her Savior where she received her complete healing.

To know Sonia was to love Sonia. She loved you from the moment you met and you instantly became lifelong friends. When you were with her, she was always smiling and always in the moment with you.

Over the past 3 1/2 years, she pursued every available option as she valiantly fought metastatic breast cancer. Along the way, she smiled and created unforgettable memories with her family. She also selflessly poured herself into encouraging hundreds of others who were walking the same journey. In the midst of her fight, she started a non-profit called “Help on the Way!” to help meet tangible needs — gas, groceries, rent, & repairs — of other individuals locally who are fighting cancer.

Just two days prior to her death, Sonia, who was aptly named Soni Sunshine by the community, had an opportunity to witness the impact of her life at the Soni Sunshine Snow-5-O Sugarplum Spectacular Community Christmas Celebration.  This magical event welcomed nearly 1,000 guests and brought the community together to celebrate her love for the Christmas season and her upcoming 50th birthday.

Born January 3, 1972, in Westminster, Maryland, she was the the wife of Casey Davis; mother to Kensington & Camden; and daughter of James “Jim” Wimert and the late Mary “Christine” (Blevins) Wimert.

In addition to her husband, children, and father, Sonia is survived by father-in-law & mother-in-law, Hank & Debby Davis of Westminster; brother-in-law, sister in-law, and niece, Brock, Lexie, & Ruby Davis of Petaluma, California.

The family invites you to join them in a celebration of her life on Sunday, December 12, 2021, at 2pm at LifePoint Church, 1701 Emory Rd, Reisterstown, MD 21136.
