Heaven gained another angel today. Sondra “Sandy” M. Kurtz, 84, of Washington IL, formerly of Germantown Hills, IL passed away on Monday, November 29, 2021 at Proctor Hospital. She was born on May 29, 1937 in Peoria, IL to Joseph and Altheda (Scott) Weber.
She married Keith F. Kurtz on November 24, 1962. He preceded her in death in 2001. Also preceding her in death were her parents, brothers Darrel and Ronald Weber, along with her sister Virginia Skywark.
Surviving are her two sons Bob (Diane) Kurtz, and Pete (Rhonda) Kurtz, and daughter Shari (Dave) Cooper, all of Germantown Hills. She is also survived by eight grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, and one brother Larry (Kacee) Weber of Florida.
Sondra retired after 13 years from The Germantown Hills Village Hall as the village clerk in 1994. She was actively involved in the Germantown Hills Hilltopper Home Extension, different bowling leagues, and a volunteer for the Center of Prevention of Abuse. She was also a member of the Red Hats Society.
Rest in Peace, Sondra, you will be missed by many, but forever in our hearts.
