Sofia Fillmore Taylor, a resident of Coral Gables, Florida, passed away on July 2nd, 2022, at the age of 91. A native of Los Angeles, California, she attended Immaculate Heart College and later married Air Force Pilot, John Levering Taylor. Sofia and John were married for 61 years until John’s passing in 2013.
She is survived by their four loving children, Lynn, Lee, Patrice and Bill, 14 grandchildren, Jesse, Daniel, Corinne, Nathen, Florence, Ryan, Hugh, Kevin, Emily, Kelley, Mahlon, Herman, Danielle and Allison, 10 great-grandchildren, Alexia, Taylor Rose, Avery, Tyler, Wyatt N., Sadie, Alvin, Amelia, Wyatt W. and Abigail, and a much loved nephew Richard M. Sofia was so grateful for her everlasting friendships with Marsha, Nancy, Pat, Nell and Patrick and Sandy. A special thank you to Sofia’s loving care givers who were also part of our family, most especially Magdalena, and Eloisa and Lilliam, who were there for her throughout her illness.
