SOCORRO B. JURADO, 64, a lifelong resident of Deming passed away Friday February 10, 2012 at Memorial Medical Center in Las Cruces.
Socorro was born May 27, 1947 in Silver City to Marcial and Clara Borrego. She was mainly a homemaker but over the years had worked at Auburn Rubber Company and Deming Electronics for some time. Her family remembers her as being and loving mother, grandmother and a devout Christian. She especially enjoyed spending time with her 3 granddaughters.
She is survived by her sons, Ralph, Jaime and Rosendo all of Deming; brothers, Tony Borrego and his wife Alma of Phoenix, AZ, Johnny Borrego and his wife Rosa of Deming, Ruben Borrego of California; sisters, Pola Palos and her husband Larry, Rosa Quintero and her husband Robert, Clara Anderson and her husband Bill all of Deming; and her 3 loving granddaughters, Miquela Jurado, Nia Isabella Jurado, and Zyra Ortiz Jurado. Socorro was preceded in death by her husband, Isabel “Izzy” Jurado and by 1 brother, Julian Borrego.
