Slettia Gould, age 94, went to be with the Lord on March 9, 2007.
She was born Sept. 19, 1912, at the High Lonesome Ranch between Hobbs and Lovington.
She married William Oran Gould on Sept. 6, 1941, in Carlsbad, N.M., and together became Christians and. worshiped as active members of Taylor Street Church of Christ in Hobbs, N.M.
Survivors include her son, Floyd Donham and wife Shirley of Tulsa, Okla.; her daughter, Jean Merrell and husband James of Hobbs; four grandchildren, Bobbie and Jim Bob Evans of Odessa, Texas, Zan and Scott Williams of Tulsa, Okla., Randy and Gina Merrell of Hobbs, and Rusty and Cheryl Merrell of Petersburg, Va.; 11 greatshy;grandchildren; and two greatshy;great-grandchildren.
Slettia was preceded in death by her husband, William Oran Gould; her parents, Ed and Maud Medlin; two brothers, Talbert and Charlie Medlin and one sister, Eddie Maud Kerr.
