Sixta (Vazquez) Gonzalez, 87, of Bethlehem, passed away peacefully on Thursday January 20, 2022 at St. Luke’s Hospice House, surrounded by her loving family. She was the loving wife of Arcadio “Yuyo” Gonzalez with whom she shared over 63 years together until his passing on December 26, 2015. Born in Corozal, Puerto Rico, she was the daughter of the late Paulino Vazquez Montanez and Maria Padilla Matos. Sixta was a devoted member of Holy Infancy Catholic Church, Bethlehem. She enjoyed cooking, crocheting, dominoes and word search puzzles. She also enjoyed watching her sons and grandsons play baseball.
Survivors: She will be lovingly remembered by her children Milton Gonzalez and his wife Ann of Allentown, Emily Vazquez and her husband Wilfredo of Bethlehem, Jose Gonzalez and his wife Olga of Bethlehem, Fernando Gonzalez and his wife Nancy of Bethlehem, Hector Gonzalez and his wife Yolanda of Bethlehem; siblings Maria Vazquez, Carmen Vazquez and Juan Vazquez; 12 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren as well as many loving nieces and nephews. Sixta was preceded in death by her siblings Francisco, Margarita and Ramon.
