Sister Marjorie Curran, OLVMSister Marjorie Curran, 93, a resident of Victory Noll, passed away at 11:45 A.M. on Friday, April 27, 2012 at the Holy Family Care Center at Victory Noll, Huntington, IN.Sister Marjorie entered the Congregation of Our Lady of Victory Missionary Sisters on September 6, 1950 and made first vows on August 5, 1953.
She served in the missions in Utah, Colorado, Nevada, Texas, Arizona and Indiana. She served as the General Secretary for the community at Victory Noll and retired in 2001 to volunteer as the Assistant Archivist. Sister Marjorie was very involved with the local Church Women United for several years. Sister Marjorie was born in Iowa City, Iowa on January 23, 1919 to John Curran and Annie (Gallahger) Curran.
Sister was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, John Curran, Jr. She is survived by one sister, Eileen Schmitz of Des Moines, Iowa. Also survived by many Nieces and Nephews along with many Great Nieces and Nephews and Great Great Nieces.
