SISTER GRACE GOLENBERKE, OLVM, 87, a resident of Victory Noll, passed away on January 13, 2014 at Holy Family Health Care Center at Victory Noll, Huntington, IN.
Sister Grace was born in Big Beaver, Michigan on August 21, 1926 to Joseph Golenberke and Helen Kulazeski Golenberke. Two brothers, Harry Golenberke and Richard Golenberke and one sister, Genevieve Gurnack, precede her in death. She is survived by nieces and nephews along with her Victory Noll sisters with whom she shared life and community for 65 years.
Sister Grace entered the Congregation of Our Lady of Victory Missionary Sisters on October 27, 1948 and made first vows on August 5, 1951. She served in the missions in California, Michigan, Pennsylvania, New Mexico, Texas, Utah, and Indiana. Sister returned to Victory Noll in 2000 to minister as chapel sacristan and volunteer.
