Simone L. Paynter (nee Simmons), formerly of Marlton, NJ and Baltimore, MD quietly passed away on August 30, 2016 at home. She is preceded in death by her husband William C. Paynter, her son Jeffrey and her parents Arlene Wagner (nee Patone) and Everett Simmons.
She is survived by her children William “Bill” E. Paynter, Sr. (Kathy) of Willingboro, Stephanie Cortazzo (Steve) of Winston Salem, NC, and Alex (Joy) Paynter of Marlton; by her grandchildren Chuck Coverly (Ann Marie), Bonnie Varsaci, William “Rick” Paynter, Jr., David “DJ” Reilly, Ryan Cortazzo, Nicole Cortazzo, Joe Cortazzo, Rhiannon Cortazzo, Evan Hamilton and one great granddaughter Katelyn Varsaci.
Simone is survived by her sisters Cindy Whittington and Valerie Anderson and by bher brother Marvin Allen, Jr, all of Maryland and many nieces and nephews. Simone worked at Bradlees in Marlton and retired from JC Penney in Cherry Hill, NJ.
