Silvia M. Cardenas, 74, passed away August 23, 2017 in Wheatridge, Colorado. She was born November 3, 1942 in Chihuahua, Mexico to Jesus and Carmen (Sanchez) Martinez. Silvia started her education in Mexico and received her nursing degree in Mexico as a surgical nurse. She then moved to the U.S. and then started her education all over again. She mostly worked in El Paso in various nursing homes. Silvia received her RN degree in 1991. She retired to Denver in 2011 so she could be closer to her girls and grandkids.
Silvia loved to cook. She was very strong willed and she was a very proud lady.
Silvia is survived by her three daughters, Silvia (Ron) Briscoe of Wheatridge, Dina (Michael) Burgess of Littleton, and Susana Cardenas of Denver and her one sister Yolanda (Alfredo) Olguin of Mexico City.
She is proceeded in death by her daughter Monica Montoya.
