Silas S. Roberts, 89, of Quakertown, died at his home on Saturday, August 12, 2017. He was the loving companion of Millie Stepney for 60 years. Born in Bedminster, he was a son of the late William H. and Myrtle (Corum) Roberts. For about 20 years Si was a stone mason and brick layer for Clymer Masonry in Quakertown and then worked for Glen-Gery Brick in Somerville, NJ retiring in 1998. He was an excellent auto mechanic and talented builder who enjoyed making things out of wood and stone. He also loved hunting, even though he rarely (if ever) could hit anything; and liked attending football games. Surviving with Millie are his two sons: Richard Roberts, wife Lori of Perkasie; and David Roberts, wife Nina, in Malaga, Spain; five grandchildren: Aaron and wife Ashlie, Tristan, Aislinn, Marques and Stefan; a great-granddaughter, Alexia; four sisters: Anna Jones, Patricia Boyd and Myrtle Colon, all of Quakertown and Loretta Lewis of Atlanta, GA; and a brother, Robert E. Roberts of East Greenville. He was preceded in death by three brothers: Richard, Granville and Ralph Roberts.
