SIDNEY M. PRINCE, 75, a longtime resident of Deming passed away Sunday August 2, 2009 at his home.

Sidney was born December 23, 1933 in Woodrow, Arkansas to Richard and Effie (Lauderdale) Prince. He came to Deming in 1970 from Ft. Defiance, Arizona and locally worked as a mechanic and most recently was a welder at the Rancho La Frontera Farm in Columbus. Sidney was an avid outdoorsman who loved bird hunting and especially going fishing. He was a member of Calvary Chapel.

He is survived by his wife, Myrna L. Prince of Deming; son, David Prince and his wife Amelia of Deming; sister, Eunice Endsley and her husband Gene of Drasco, Arkansas; and 4 grandchildren, Tyson Smyer, Kelly Smyer, David Prince Jr., and Davinnia Prince. Sidney was preceded in death by his daughter, Margie Smyer, his parents, Richard and Effie Prince, 2 brothers, Robert and Marvin Prince, and by 1 sister, LaVerne Birdsong.
