Falling Waters, WV – Shirley Yvonne Thomas, 84, of Falling Waters, WV went home to her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, December 2, 2020 at Meritus Medical Center in Hagerstown, MD.
She was born on April 8, 1936 in Kathryn, WV to the late Clyde and Imogene Harriet Allen Helmick.
She was a 1954 graduate of Meadow Bridge High School in Meadow Bridge, WV.
She was a member of Full Gospel Pentecostal Church.
Shirley loved her Lord Jesus, her family and going to church. She was very adventurous and enjoyed traveling. Shirley was outgoing and made new friends everywhere she went. She opened her heart to love people and helped those in need. All those who knew and loved her will miss her warmth and laughter.
She is survived by her son Melvin R. Thomas and his wife Vanessa of Hagerstown, MD; son Marvin R. Thomas and his wife Linda of Monrovia, MD; grandson Jason R. Thomas and his wife Jacquelin of Ellicott City, MD; grandson Russell E. Thomas of Baldwin, MD; great grandson Everett Armstead; sister Roberta Fulk of Rocky Mount, NC; sister Betty Luallin of Phoeniz, AZ; brother Lewis Helmick of Liberty, NC.
She was predeceased by a son Marlin R. Thomas; sister Clara J. Helmich; and brothers Clyde Hlemick, Jr. and Orlan Helmick.
