Shirley was born on January 20, 1934, in Buffalo, New York to the late Joseph Yaeger and Theresa Phillips Yaeger. Shirley loved to watch professional sports, especially football. She enjoyed spending time with her family. Shirley worked for 30 years as an office manager for a law firm in Buffalo, New York.
Shirley is preceded in death by her sister, Joan, and her brothers, Jack and Gordon.
She is survived by her loving husband of 63 years, John Allen; children, Brian (Karen) of Vermont, Steven (Debra) of New York, Karen of Chicago and Gregory (Susan) of Evanston; 10 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren; her sister Marge, of Buffalo, New York, and additional family members and friends.
