Shirley Teasley Moore
Shirley Teasley Moore passed away Saturday, April 14, 2018, at St. Mary’s Hospice House in Watkinsville, GA. A native of Elbert County, she was born on December 10, 1944, the daughter of the late Clyde Brown Teasley, Sr. and Laura Elizabeth Brown Teasley. She grew up in Elberton and graduated from Elberton High School. Shirley married James Russell “Jimmy” Moore on January 1, 1972.
Shirley is survived by her husband, Jimmy Moore of Greensboro, GA; her son, Zack Moore of Greensboro, GA; brother, Clyde Brown “Brownie” Teasley, Jr. and his wife Marinelle of Bogart, GA; sister, Bertha Ann Cail of Middleton, MA; sister-in-law, Vivian Teasley; her mother-in-law and close companion, Elizabeth Moore whom she lovingly called “Mama Moore”; a number of nieces, nephews and friends. She was preceded in death by a brother, R. J. Teasley, Sr. and a sister, Grace Dudley.
