Shirley Scott – McFall, 94, passed away February 22, 2017 in Corpus Christi Texas under the care of her son John, over the past 4 ½ years.
Shirley was born in Salt Lake City, UT on Oct 15, 1922, the 2nd of four children to Frank and Ellen Scott.
The family moved to 234 N. Pine St in 1923 where Shirley grew up. Shirley went Centralia High with her best friend Pauline Raines and was active in the Dramatic Club, Everygirl’s Committee, and Masonic Rainbow order of girls. She graduated in 1940 and went to work for Shell Oil Company in downtown Centralia. Shell transferred her to Wichita Falls, TX where she married Texan Julian McFall, and raised their two children. It was always her wish to come back to Centralia and be interred in the family plot with her Father and Mother. Shirley is survived by her beloved younger sister, Ellen Scott-Basham of Decatur, IN (who always stealthily “borrowed” her sister’s clothes); her children John McFall and Judy Gideon, three cherished grandchildren, Jennifer Gideon, Jeffrey Gideon and wife Ashley, Meredith McFall and great grandchild Christian Cisneros.
She is preceded in death by her Step Mother Millie Scott, Brother Richard Scott from Florida, and Sister Betty Konrad from Clinton.
