Shirley Mae Savannah, 63, of Oxnard, passed away on Friday, Dec. 30, 2011 at home surrounded by her loving family.

She was born March 10, 1948 in Magnolia, Mississippi to the union of Edna Chester Anderson Crain and Pink Anderson. Shirley resided and raised her family in Oxnard until she lost her battle with cancer and the Lord took hr to be at peace and in no more pain.

She always put her family first though the good and the bad constantly encouraging us to achieve to be our best.

Shirley was a caring and loving person who stayed patient and forgiving. She was a strong believer in her faith in God always overcoming any obstacles in her life. Keeping her head up and walking tall at only five feet tall.

She was a walking angel on earth and is now an angel flying above us. Thou we may have lost a great mother we are gaining another guardian angel.

Shirley was a daughter, sister, mother, aunt, grandmother and loving friend. She will be dearly missed and forever loved.

She is preceded in death by her mother, Edna Chester Anderson Crain; father, Pink Anderson; her beloved daughter, Melvena Renee Savannah – Harper; her great nephew, Joshua Alexander Jackson Jr.

Shirley is survived by and leaves to cherish her memories her loving stepfather, Willie J. Crain; her beloved friend of many years Forest Murray; her ex-husband, Robert Savannah; her Children, Reggie Savannah, Rachel Savannah and Antoinette Savannah; her adopted children, Clinton Panton Jr., Travetta Panton, Stephanie Panton and Danyella Outler; her bothers, James Anderson, Alpha Anderson, Tommie Anderson, Eugene Anderson, Mary Lowery and Lexy Manning; 12 grandchildren, Arnold Gayfield, Perrizla Latiker, Desherae Latiker, Alaysia Smith, Kiara, Candance and Kazmeir Savannah, La Merra Brown-Panton, Se’Majai Kharmella Panton, Khadafii Kingston Burney Panton, Jazmine King and Kamora Starks. Godchildren Lozetta Hughes Kwana Chester Atkins; Jackie Savannah and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews those who are not mentioned you are not forgotten.
