Shirley Priscilla Johnson, 73, of Palatka, went to be with Jesus on Saturday, November 13, 2021, at her home following an extended illness. Born in Ramsey, New Jersey, she resided in Palatka for the past 42 years coming to New Jersey.
Shirley received her Bachelor’s Degree in Christian counseling from Zoe University and also studied Quantum Physics. She was a pastor with the New Philadelphia Ministries and was involved in the Christian Coalition. Shirley was a published author of 20 books. She was in the top 10 mid-west Book Reviewer as well as top 50 Amazon Reviewer. A talented singer, she was involved in the “Jesus in Song” music ministry writing 100’s songs. She had the opportunity to sing at the World’s Fair in New York and also with Shawn Weatherby from South Carolina who became “Miss America and in 1980 “Miss Universe”.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Paul Frank Armando Raniero and Margaret Rose Raniero, and a brother, Gustave Debree.
Shirley is survived by her husband of 40 years, Robert Foster Johnson, her children, Paulette Crawford, Jamie Paul Stephens, and Daniel Michel Stephens, 2 sisters, Patricia Francis Osmond (Chet) and Margaret “Peggy” Priestley (Tom), 2 grandchildren, Cassandra Redish (Steven) and Danielle Stephens, 2 great-grandchildren, Meria Rose Redish and Marshall Odell Redish, numerous nieces, nephews, and other extended family and her best friend, Susan Brown.
