A loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, friend, and noble daughter of God returned to her heavenly home on June 4, 2015, at the age of 90.
Shirley Almira Hendricks Pincock was born August 11, l924, in Rupert ID to Loal Kay and Elsie Morris Hendricks. She was the 8th of 12 children. She attended schools in Rigby and Pocatello ID.
Shirley married Kenton R. Pincock on January 20, 1943, in the Mesa AZ temple. After living in Arizona for 2 years they returned to reside in Pocatello.
Shirley was employed in Pocatello as a clerk for JC Penny’s and then as office manager at Gateway Printers for 20 years. She had an unbelievable work ethic –she could work circles around anyone. She loved housekeeping, cooking, and giving parties for all ages. She was known for her beautiful table settings and fun games. Good books and music were always a part of her life. Highlights of her life were raising her 5 children in the gospel. She loved to plan activities for them as well as her grandchildren and great-granchildren.
She enjoyed being involved in genealogy and family history. She was a member of the Sego Lily Camp of the Daughters of Utah Pioneers for 68 years. Shirley showed great compassion for others. She willingly shared whatever she could with those who needed a helping hand.
Shirley is survived by 5 childrena”David (Connie) Pincock, Alice (Larry) Ricks, Jane (Ron) Atkinson, Richard (Becky) Pincock, and William (Marilyn) Pincock, 21 grandchildren, 54 great grandchildren, and her younger sister, Geri Roberts. She was preceded in death by her husband (Kenton), her parents, and 4 brothers and 6 sisters.
The family would like to express gratitude to the staffs of Ridge Wind Assisted-Living Center and Encompass Hospice for their kind and attentive care during the last few months of her life.
