Shirley was the fifth of seven children born to Eva and Myron Lyons, long time farmers south of Nampa, Idaho. She attended Nampa High School where she met and later married Gerald Orcutt. They had four children and though they moved often in their early years of marriage, she lived nearly 70 years on the Orcutt family farm south of Nampa. Gerald died in 1986. Shirley worked many years for the Nampa School District. She will be missed dearly by family, friends, and long-time companion, Robert Cook.
She is survived by her children, Ginger Lee (Clair), Jerry Dean Orcutt, Brenda Lee (Gardunia), Sandra Lee (Walker), sisters Reva Lyons Clark and Arlie Lyons Bybee, brother Glen Lyons and many, many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.
